These acted as adults; ages be damned. This premeditated, they left, obtained a weapon, put gloves on to hide finger prints, and attacked her. If they receive minimal punishment or escape punishment altogether; what will they be like as older teens or young adults. One of two lessons will be learned; one, that they can commit an attempted murder if they plan; or two, that crminal acts lead to punishment that makes the act too costly. Our current societal state probably will result in the former; as a result when they are caught as adults they will seem to get more punishment than that act may deserve because all their escapes from accountability will be in the latest sentence.
