Bullying isn't grounds for harming in any way (firearm,knife, or even fists). Let's look at the following questions; 1. Carrying a firearm in a school is a felony, 2. possession of the firearm violates at least current Federal law and even in Texas I believe he can not own let alone carry a loaded firearm; in no state is the use of a firearm allowed without imminent leathal or major danger to yourself or others. Carrying the firearm to school illegally indicates an intention to use it illegally. Fleeing and dumping the firearm clearly shows knowledge of the illegality of his actions. Sorry this is no stand your ground or sel defense case. Perhaps the Mother would serve him better by saying where and from whom he got the pistol.

@davidcollins8785 i guess that you don't like fscts or pointing out that this poor bullied young man was a felon before he took the first shot and that it isn't a firearm at fault but rather a criminal desire. There is no joke either in his actions or either your meaningless comment or my comment.

@pyromaniac3315 Yes, the laws changed, it is Constotutional Carry now; but I believe there still is a ban on carrying in schools and some other specified places; and it still requires you to be 21 for a handgun. That said, I have seen the video of the fighting leading up to the shooting. The shooter was beating the person who has been accused of bullying him.. the s upposed bully was the smaller young man, and is three years younger. No weapons were involved, and the shooter was in danger of either major physical injury or death, thereby eliminating a self-defense or stand you ground type of defense. I can'tsay the Younger and smaller accused bully never did anything wrong; but the video clearly shows the bully winning that fight.

Sounds very much like a gang activity. How many people were 8n the car? How many guns were seizedz? The shooter and Gomez are prbably both Hispanic, I suspect if the two were White and the victim were Hispanic this would have been a hate crime.

@bgos4727 I believe you have a right to disagree unlike the Progressives; but your belief isn't truth. I believe that evidence since the event indicates other issues as well. In any case, a violent response isn't warranted. Bullying doesn't excuse criminal acts; and the individual violated several laws. If you commit a crime with intent don't try to excuse your intended action.
