Question for you since when does only intent required? My understanding restanding is errors by intent or negligence that cause disruption is cause for some for of corrective action. If you listen to the clip, the expert didn't say those ballots were counted, only that if they were properly filled out on the right sized paper could they be machine read. No t ice Hobb's lawyer stopped right there. We can see where you stand, on Hobb's side of the fence. A fair report. Might mention that the law does not require intent and the number of missized ballots was over 40% of the sample and were primarily from Republican Districts. Lake doesn't have to prove the election official did this by intent, only that it happened. Who did it, and why it happened aren't involved, only that this occurred.

While t e cynically correct public perception is important. If the public is fairly made aware of all facts, there is pressure on the officials not to let irregularities and violations of law slide. Lack of chain of custody and accountability for box 3 ballets, should be criminal if it isn't. Remember criminal cases have been lost over that issue, not because tampering is proven, but because it can't be disproven. Should lack of ballot accountability be as important or more so?

@drhome655 Read my comment, the only evidence needed is that there were violations of state law and issues whether by intent, negligence or accident occurred that could adversely affect the results. Fraud is not required to be proven for the two items on trial.

She wasn't just alleging fraud. That is why this case is still going, she also, and on firmer ground, alleges failures in following election rules that could have affected the election. Some of that has been ehown; whether enough to warrant some action, including a rerun of the election is what is up to the court.
