  1. On a more serious note, the Milankovitch Cycles could also affect today's climate. Many say these cycles take to long to happen, and therefore can be dismissed. What should be done is determine where we are in the cycles. Modern measuring ability and computers could determine if it is playing an affect today. That is what science is really about, curiosity and actual attempts to determine all factors, not trying just to prove your pet theory. This bad science attitude of ignoring anything that doesn't fit your theory or may disprove it, isn't real science. Believe science when it is real science

  2.  @skippy9214  Sorry, but your comment is typical 9f those who desire to ignore the three obital cycles. They do not run concurrently. One is about a 24 to 26 thousand year cycle one is over a 50 thousand year cycle, and the last is over a 100,000 year cycle. Since none of these is exact and we can be at a mid point in one and the start of another and somewhere into the third; so, your comment is far too simplistic. We have far less than a 100 year knowledge base on the Sun an c while we have learned much, we are still learning. In other words, on global climate change we are letting humanities' collective ego run away with our beliefs. Remember a couple of old cartoons that apply, one of more PG ones was a grasshopper floating on a leaf yelling raise the drawbridge. Man is like that grasshopper, a being with a much inflated sense of importance; substituting himself for a God or gods he no longer believes in. Man is not God or gods, and the whether you believe in God or gods, there is much we don't know or understand.
