The Amish have major problem with child sexual abuse. Nothing is new, it's just out in the open. There is a good history on child abuse I read years ago, but I can't remember the name. Anyway, there is a reason why Saint Augustine said " if given the choice between Death and damnation with no hope of Salvation or live forever as a child, who of course would not choose death."

I knew a guy who ran security at a major Studio, he would told me that women would sit outside of the studio with their pubescent daughters and when teen star would come out, they would push their daughters to go up to them and give Star their phone number. when he would grab the girls and bring them over to their mothers, and ask her mother's what the hell they were doing, the mothers had no answers, it was just "oh it's no big deal".

Have A Great Day isn't that the whole premise of the western ideologies of individual rights, rule by consent of the governed? If the majority to decide, then who Has a right to restrain the values of the majority?

Have A Great Day I am not a liberal in any sense of the word, even it is original meaning. Whether it's in the vague metaphysical rights Championed by the founders of the American Republic or the French revolutionaries. I am arguing the point of Bonald, this is the natural consequence of such ideas. If the people are the absolute determinant of moral right and wrong, then how can you stop the society from spiraling downward when people are in error. However, that question brings into question the sacrosanct of idea of democracy, Championed by the West, because in the western mind, the majority of the people as a mass can never be in error. "GOD does not allow that men should permit an idea yet restrian that which flows naturally from it".

Have A Great Day you didn't mention me being a liberal, I was pointing out the very liberal idea of democracy and majority rule have opened the door to this current situation. And I wanted to make clear that I'm not some conservatard talking about Democrats, but the very foundational of majoritarian rule. Very concept of unrestrained, unmitigated freedom of speech leads directly to the degenerative filth we see promulgated today. Yet, people who call themselves conservative are the first to open their mouth in defense of the idea. Well, for 500 years the West was warned about the consequences of metaphysical ideas "freedom from God" and "natural rights". You sowed the wind, now you reap the Whirlwind.
