  1. That's an interesting take. I must say that Max Weber's charisma and institution-building is one of my favorite collection of works. However, I Think You Are forgetting one of the most basic types of authority, rational Authority. At the end of the day, all the characters in The Impossible white man trope succeed in their mission, therefore they establish rational Authority, you cannot argue with results. As for India, and every other colonized people who attempt to assert their Humanity as a distinct people which is essentially everyone but Africans, the use of Technology and technological violence is a natural reaction to having been subordinated and knowing the consequences for themselves of being subordinate.
