@Lunnzies Learning is both understanding and memorization. Sometimes one must first memorize the stuff and eventually understand it. Even memorization is a skill of its own. And as clumsy studying just for the test might be, the modern insistence to develop "flashier" ways to remember and learn stuff are likely throwing away more essential stuff than they bring anything new good. Just cause something is boring doesn't mean it is useless, if anything, the ability to push forward even through the most boring tasks because one has to is essential if one wishes anything to get done. People are not gonna learn more complicated and abstract "ideas" if they cannot even first grasp simpler (and sometimes boring) fundamental elements and . In this time of developing tech there is this insistence to jump in the most complicated stuff which AI likely was designed for first just to skip the most fundamental and basest of the basic initial abilities which don't require extra tech to use.
