  1.  @Octavian2  I think sometimes postmodern works do not really deny that there is truth, just that what current consensus considers final and absolute truth is either wrong, flawed or had stopped the digging towards it too soon.

  2.  @Octavian2  Whatever postmodernism is decided to mean does not matter that much. It is, like many other isms, just a way to stop discussion to categorization phase. Ones who practice it likely think there is truth but right now many people who claim to have truth have just decided to stop looking deeper and are just carrying either limited or their own version of it. Consider it like "rock which keeps rolling does not gain moss". If there are truths which can both be true in right situations, more digging must be done. And there might also be the case that "truth" is sometimes that there are cases where firstly perceived truths do not actually work or have the whole picture, so in some cases "relativism" is actually closer to truth than so called "objectivism". It is not that much claims against the truth itself, just the "truths" people seem to claim as truths.

  3. I think the better translation for "ambition" could be "will to live". Whether you are on high or low, strong or weak, one just still clings to life and thinks: "I'm gonna make it". I guess, its opposite is depression or indifference towards one's own life.
