  2. You sure you're not doing it back to front? I generally hang them loosely from the top, and then am free to manipulate everything downstairs. Still a bit grumbly, but not THAT bad?

  3. Not that I know what I'm talking about, apparently, but I never tighten anything until the car has at least sat on it's own weight once. I prefer to tension the bolts while the weight is on. Tell the guy on the phone to take a hike, the scamming weasel.

  4. I hate those crimpy things - they work for a while, then some alien corrosion , possibly electrolytic in action, causes them to expand an stop working. I know soldering is a PITA, but, it it's my car, anyway, I only want to repair it once. Gas door - we all know what happened. Gas prices, ok, so Mr Suction has visited, but sadly didn't have the keys.
