@peted5217 I have one "Down Under". Still runs. Just scared to drive it, in case anything else goes wrong. Actually, I love it. And so do the weeds growing around it.

@terrywade6172 NO! These cars are made by accountants. They save a buck , here or there, buy leaving out things like access panels and so-on. Accountants are NOT the engineer's friend.

@terrywade6172 Yes, I take your point. I was told that they had to shut the assembly line down for over 6 weeks, as the tolerances between engine and body were causing mucho damage. Staff had to be retrained. Poor old PT Cruiser. Much maligned car. I still like mine, but I have to spend quite a bit of money to get it road-legal again. Which is fine. Just gotta get the money together, this year, I hope.

PTs were a fun idea, badly executed. I had the same problem on my WJ Overland. Left it parked for 2 days with the radiator cap off, and it cured itself - airlock?
