  1. Ford consumables part numbers mean nothing, in reality. They are just numbers they put on someone else's products. How do I know this? Selling bearings to a Ford parts shop for bugger-all money and then seeing them reboxed/rebagged into "Genuine Ford Parts" packaging, then sold at 4 x the price, (at a minimum). My best mate then installed them at the Ford workshop. We both watched the parts turning from Saeco to Ford on the packaging rip-off. I'm fairly certain that a large proportion of automotive brands do the same thing. I know that the vehicle manufacturers don't make spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads and air filters, but selling them as "genuine" spares is fraud.
