With the WJ - go for the High Output 4.7. fitted from new to the Overland only. 30 bhp more than standard @ 265. Doesn't sound like much of an increase, but, dropped valve seats notwithstanding, actually surprisingly fast and effortless. I miss mine, but with gas prices in NZ, she had to go.

Why did you lift it? Obviosly it's not an Overland, as they were supposed to be low and fast...

Had 2. A 1.6, and a 1.8. Amazing cars, and the 1.8 had dual range 4WD. Not the best ground clearance, but grunty little beasts. Pity about the rust. They were rotten.

I also have a Zj/ZG Orvis, and it's a thirsty ol pig, and is also not fun on-road. it'll go anywhere though. one of 170 built i Graz, Austria, in RHD spec. 195 hp out of the six.

The lift shortens the wheelbase. Not so good on the highway. My Overland has a 2.5 lift, with gas shocks, and is not nice on the open road. Vague steering, bigtime. GRRRR!
