  1. Mind you, I had a Lada 1500, and it was a tank. And it was rusty, but not like it was worse than anything else keeping everyone awake at night dropping scales onto the street. Seriously - I had a 2 year old Cressida, which was a "luxury" model. The l/h rear 1/4 crumbles so badly, and the demand for that panel was enormous. And try an early '80s Nissan ute!!! I think this is why MIG welders were perfected.

  3. Look at a '70s to late '80s Toyota or Subaru. Not tank-steel - high carbon steel.
