  2. Doug Demuro is a moron. I've got a 2005 2.4 PT Classic auto. I have NOT treated it well. The worst thing is the Cruise Control - it goes into PANIC mode when you hit a hill, and drops down 2 gears, and can't figure out where to go from there. Screaming revs, Fuel economy out the window. On the expressway, cheap as chips to run. It's still an ok old beast. 2.4 remodel is a brilliant engine.. I'm keeping it, but the '01 Mondeo Zetec is my daily.
