  4. Had an '02 Overland with 417000 km on it. Actually, still own it, but someone bought the engine. I actually have a video of it's last trip on the road, and it was a rust-free car, 2-owner. Regret selling the motor now. Still have an '03 Overland, and it goes like a bat out of hell. Needs new rear suspension work, and some parts have arrived from RockAuto. Yay. Again, rust-free, and has done 256000 km. Use zinc-based oil. Slows down the likelihood of valve-seat issues. Bloody thirsty around town, but good on trips. Sadly, someone has lifted it 2+ inches, so I'll take the old bits off the engineless one to get it back to it's proper Overland, (lower), ride height. Not sure how many Overlands are left in NZ, but I turned down an offer of $6.6K for it. Even if I park it up, it can't get worthless. 4.7 High-Output. Super fun.

  5. Everything after the WJ has IFR, and that sucks a lot.

  6. Those dash blanks - I think you could get a tacho, (possibly King Cab only), and an analogue clock. They're fun on gravel roads, especially when empty...

  7. That Jeep roof looks poisonous, but I'd be more concerned by the 3.7 engine, which like the 4.7 in the WJ, etc., does drop valve seats. Mega-bucks to fix.

  9. They were selling NEW for just on NZ$20K, (2WD), but I think they've now been discontinued. My mate had 1/2 a dozen of them for his business. They do the job, but that's about it.

  10. Sold in NZ as the Mitsubishi L300. Head-gasket city, people, and the camshaft bearings seize.

  11. Buttons and knobs are, in my opinion, preferable to all the screen bizzo. Tactile.

  12. And, I believe, the subframe of the WJ was partially designed by Porsche. Overland is 265 bhp. Great engine, until it drops a valve. I still love 'em.
