  8.  @MrBitskuopis  Poland has never been soviet republic. It has never been a part of USSR unlike Ukraine or Baltic States. It was soviet satelite state just like East Germany. It s about Nato's credibility. If Nato can not defend Baltic States there is no need for Nato to exist at all.

  12.  @Shade-j4c  For many Poles Soviets were worse. It was anything but a liberation. Real liberators are the ones who liberate and leave. Germany has learnt its lesson and turned into a peaceful neighbour. Russia did not.
