Comments by "Frida Kahlo" (@Blanka1100) on "Why are US and Russian tensions escalating over Ukraine? - BBC News" video.
Hitler first invaded Poland on 1 of Setember 1939 because West was too naive and let him. Second Russia invaded Poland on East side on 1 Setember 1939. For many Eastern European coutries Russia/USSR was even worse back then.
3
There is no way to deal when Russia is your neighbour. Ask Baltic States why they decide to join Nato or learn history.
2
Yes but West was too weak and naive to stop Hitler. It did not end up well.
2
And "libereted" Eastern Europe? This is what you want to say? It was a slavery, not a "liberation". And you still expect them to be "grateful" to you. Bullshit.
2
Are you really suprised Eastern European countries joined Nato? They know Russia too well to be naive. They were sold out in Yalta to Stalin. Now West owes them. Joning Nato it's a choice made by every independent State. It's none of Russia's business.
2
@nickstoic2944 James Bakar or whoever "promise" has nothing to say when an independent state wants to join in it can do it and it's their decision. None of Russia's or enyone else's business. Those countries did not want to end up like Ukraine left alone outside pacts. Russia attacked its neighbours and you keep reapiting bullshit about some kind of oral promice. Was any paper signed that you can show me? The only papers signed was the one about joining Nato and those countries signed it because they were the one who decided and the one to decide about themselves.
2
@nickstoic2944 Bill Cinton once said about Baltic States "Nothing about you above your heads" They were the only one to talk to about joining Nato and the one to decide. So they did.
2
@nickstoic2944 I know Russia better than you do from my own experience. Bye.
2
@robertbrown374 People of Afghanistan were not free, Serbia was run by dictator as well, Iraq was fucked up by Saddam.
2
Exactly. Russian trolls keep talking about some Western oral promise but they forget joining Nato it's a choice of those independent coutries. They were the one to decide about themselves and nobody else. It's none of Russia's business because these countries are not Russia's backyard anymore. Joining Nato it's a voluntary thng. Nato did not force Baltic States to join. Theh did because they wanted and were free to decide. Being Russia's neighbour or satelite it's not a choice. It's a bad luck tu say at least.
2
@alexanderkostiaev8484 Ukraine 2014, Georgia 2008, Russia feels justified to take Crimea just because it used to belong to Russia at some point in history. So what? Does it mean you have to attack your neighbour to get it back? Some Ukrainian lands used to be polish, some polish ands used to be german but none of these coutries fight to get former land back. And dont even start talking about so called bullshit referendum in Crimea the rest of the world does not care about. Wanting to join other coutry does not mean "we are free to do it". World does not work that way. You can't just take someone else's land like that. It's like "I would ike to be born in Norway instead of Afghanistan so I feel free to cross Norway's border illegaly and become Norway's citizen just like that".
2
@a3b36a04 Hitler used the same ethnical talking bullshit about Germans on Polish soil. Dictators always need an excuse to invade. whatever excuse will be.
2
@a.p.3004 Poles and Czechs loved USSR/Russia so much they run away to find another friends in EU and Nato. They don't want to have anything in common with Russia anymore. It's an insult for them to even tell they are similar or "one culture". "One nation"? Really??? Never again even in Putin's wet dreams
2
@a.p.3004 Fucked up countries run by dictators do not count.
2
Exactly. Ukraine will be new Chechenya for russian people and Putin himself.
2
Exactly. France has always been the biggest cowards and useful idiots of Russia. Hitler did not stop on Poland because West let him not to stop.
1
Nato being near the border is such a threat? How about crossing a border to invade neighbour Georgia and Ukraine? This is what Russia did and this is the real threat. Being near the border and crossing a border, having a weapon on my own soil and using a weapon to attack others are two different things too. Nato never crossed Russia's border while Russia loves invading its neighbours with every excuse possible.
1
One more thing. Crimea used to be russian at some oint in history but it does not mean it belongs to Russia forever and ever or that Russia is justified to take it away. Russian people iving in Crimea want to be a art of Russia? Want and free to go or tak land away are two different things. Some Polish lans used to be German but Germans do not fight with Poles today or attack Poland to get former land back. It's like "I want to be Norwegian because it's a better place to live and I voted to be Norwegian" So what? World does not work that way. Nobody cares.

*part of
1
That's why many Slavic countries joined Nato in a hurry.
1
Serounding and crossing border/attacking are two different things. Russia is the one who attacked their neighbours in a last few years.
1
@fahmi2694 putting missiles and using it are two different things. Iraq was fucked up because of its own dictator.
1
@fahmi2694 Why are you so suprised Central Europe and Baltic States joined Nato? They were right to do so. They know Russia too well
1
@fahmi2694 Nato never crossed Russia's borders while Russia itself loves attacking it's neighbours or at least tell them what they can or ca't do. Central Europe it's not your satelite anymore for a reason and Ukraine it's not your toy. It's none of your business what independet countries want for their future. You are braiwashed by your botox face president who kills his political opponents and has no respect for his own nation. There is no free media in Russia, just troll farms and useful idiods working hard all over internet to try to convince the world Russia is the victim here. Guess what? Noone in the right mind in the free world believes you.
1
@nickstoic2944 Promise deal on video? Oh yeaah. That "justifies" everything Russia is doing now. Give me a break. Those countries are free to decide so they decided to join and signed papers. They are not Russia's backyard anymore. Deal with it.
1
@nickstoic2944 The promise (Budaest 1994) was: Ukraine will be treated as a suvereign country by Russia when Ukraine gets rid of nukes. Ukraine did get rid of nukes. The promice was broken. Who is the agressor here? Baltic States? Ukraine whose Crimea was taken away by Russia in 2014? Mars or Venus?
1
@nickstoic2944 Russia can do whatever Russia wants on its land. The same for Nato. The thing is not to invade or cross the border. . Russia did invade neighbours in 2008 and 2014. Nato never crossed Russia's border. Russia acts like an abusive former husband who can't stand his ex wife wants to go her own way.
1
Hitler did not stop on Poland because West let him not to stop there. West was just standing and watching. It did not end up well for the rest of the world. West has always been very naive. Dictators never stop. You have to stop them first.
1
@victoriaperez1166 Iraq, Afghanistan and Serbia were fucked up by their own dictators. In Serbia there was a threat to Albanians. Afhganistan is the most fucked up country to live for women Do i feel for Thalibs? Hell to the NO.
1
Respect for Putin? For a guy who poisons and kills his political opponents and attackts its neighbours?
1
It has been Putin's wet dream for years. But he made a mistake here.
1
The terrible thing is people of Russia are so brainwashed by State propaganda they really do believe it.
1
It's Nato's job because many EU countries joined Nato for a reason, especially the Baltic one.
1
@richwashere168 Nato exists for a reason. Nato is to act together and not on your own. It's not only regional problem.
1
@vannajs5024 You know what? Russia thinks Central European countries are not "foreign countries" but it does not mean Russia is right. Nato never crossed Russia's borders but Russia feels free to tell it's neighbours what they can or can not do, invades Ukraine and Georia. Can you see a difference?
1
@douchelin It's like I want to live in Norway instead of Afghanistan but it does not mean you are justified to do it just like that and take your your neighbours land. Soemthing historical russian is NOT russian forever.
1
@haruruben Putin can't deal his ex wife Ukraine wants to go her own way.
1
@alexanderkostiaev8484 Nice Russia Today Propaganda, good job, troll
1
@douchelin Borders are there to cross them in a legal way. Throwing rocks at olish border guards will not help you get in. Lukashenka invited them with tourist visas to make a hybrid attack and he was the only one responsible for their situation.
1
@michaelpeng9993 I want to be Norwegian but am not. And it does not to justify to invade Norway or become Norwegian citizen illegally or by force or thiwh bullshit co called fake referendum. Want and free to go/justified to be taken away it's not the same.
1
@a.p.3004 Russia is a dictatorship in the first place. utin poisons his political opponends. TV paid by russian state spreads propaganda, Putin is using ethnical bullshit to justify his actions in Crimea (Hitler did similar things to justify his actions in Czechoslovakia and Poland). Dicattors never stop, they just have a break before going further.
1
Because you don't know history or have no clue about this part of Europe.
1
@derrickadjei6184 Putin treats Ukraine like it's his own backyard. It's not even foreign state for him. He acts like abusive former husband who can not stand his ex wife wants to go her own way.
1
Putin stepped in a pooh. I guess he starts to realise.
1
I know but Pitin does not give a damn what his own people want.
1
Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia are independent and it was THEIR choice to join NatoI It's none of Russia's business. The same for former satelite states like Poland and Czech Republic. They are not Putin's backyard. Russia thinks everything that used to be russian at some point in history still belongs to Russia which is bulshit.
1
Russia's former satelite states know Russia. That's why they joined Nato in a hurry.
