@Occident. And Austrian painter was "protecting Germans in Chechoslovakia"? Give me a break. Every dictator needs excuses to invade somebody else's land.

Does it change anything for Ukraine?

@ Putin started this war and all he cares about is his own sick legacy.

This is exactly what Putin said in his so called interview with Tucker.

@Gwynbl31dd Provoked by doing what Existing? Besides what Poland did to Chechs was not even annexation. Go back to school. Also Russia always feels provoked. Ukraine's independence itself "provokes" Putin.

@MrCarpediem6 Nato is an excuse for Putin. He blames his victims for calling the police. If Russia had no record of being a terrible neighbor to both Poland and Ukraine, they would have no need to join Nato in order to be secured. Ukraine had no will to join Nato before 2014 and no chance to join after 2014. Putin invaded anyway. Why didn'd he care when Finland joined Nato? Because it was never really about Nato. He wants Ukraine. He does not want peace. He wants piece of Ukraine.

@emhryvar Poland did not "invade" Chechoslovakia.

@ЮрийСтаниславович-о8п bullies always feel provoked, blame their victims and need excuses.

@alhazed Nato does not expand by force. Russia does. Nato does not annex. Russia does. Putin wants Ukraine. Ukraine had no chance to join Nato and Putin invaded anyway. Because he could and wanted to. Russia always feels provoked, blames her victims and needs excuses. It iwas not about Nato. It is about Putin's ego. He wants russain empire back. He blames his victims for calling the police. Russia has never been a friendly neighbor. Nato has nothing to do with it. Nato is at Russia's borders for decades. Putin did not invade Finland or Poland. He invaded non Nato Ukraine.

@1chrisford Churchill and FDR sold Poland to Stalin in Yalta. Polish army was not allowed to take part in a victory parade in order not to upset "uncle Joe". Poland helped to break enigma code and got zero credit for it.

@CapAnson12345 Poland was invaded from both sides. I wonder how great would France do?

@leannegon1483 Russia loves taking all WWII soviet glory and skipping its dark sides.

@Gwynbl31dd lies, lies and more lies. How can you sleep at night? Will of people is not a coup. Putin has been paying separatists for years. Yanukovich refused to sigh deal with EU, hurt protesters, lost support of his own political party, was voted out by Ukrainian Parilament and run to Moscow where he belongs to. Russia "loves" Ukraine so much that she has to hurt Ukraine every other Monday? It is anything but "being close". It is not the best way to gan respect and friendship. Is that because Putin claims Ukraine is, I quote, "not real"? Every dictator needs excuses and claims to "protect his people" while in fact all he cares about is his own ego and legacy.
