Russia always feels provoked no matter what others do. If Russia does not like countries joining Nato, Russia should consider stop giving Eastern Europeans reasons to join. @zuendeleser6862 Nato does not expand by force. Russia does Ad Warsaw pact membership was not something Eastern Europe asked for. Warsaw pact was the only alliance to invade its own members. Nobody woud invade Russia. Putin invaded Ukraine because he wants Ukraine and he could invade non Nato Ukraine only. How "brave" of him. Ukraine had no chance to join Nato and had no will to aply before 2014. Blaming countres for joining Nato it like blaming a victim for calling the police because she did not want to be hurt anymore. Ukraine was neutral and this is exactly why Russia invaded. Because IT COULD. Russia always feels provoked and it does not matter what others did or did not do. Ukraine's existence as an an independent state is a "provokation" for Russia. Russia simply has never had any respect for Eastern Europeans and their agenda.
