It is about Putin's ego and his sick legacy. Nato never promised not to expand and Russia has nothing to say when it comes to Eastern Europe's pact choices. Russia does not own Eastern Europe. Why didn't Putin invade Poland in 1999, Lithuania in 2004 and Finland which has the biggest order with Russia? Because he wants Ukaine. It is not about Nato.

  9.  @aAverageFan  It is not the point. Is Ukraine Nato member? No. Did Ukraine have any chance to join Nato with its unsolved border problems? No. Is Russia a super power to demand anything? No. Does Putin want Ukraine as a part of Russia? Yes. Is Nato an excuse for Putin? Yes. Putin wants Ukraine. It is not about Nato. It is about Putin's ego and legacy. He thinks "Ukraine belongs to Russia" and he blames his victims for calling the police. USA did not claim Cuba is "not real" unlike Putin and Ukraine's case. And did not try to make it a part of USA.
