Russia's neighbours have been warning for years that Putin would not stop. oles and people froom Baltic States heard "You are oversensitive and russuphobic". We are russoexperienced in the first place. Germans feel guilty when it comes to russian victims of WWIi because they have no clue many soviet victims were also Ukrainians. Russia took all WWII soviet glory and Russians always skp USSR dark sides (USSR invaded oland just 17 days after Nazi Germany and USSR was Hitler's ally till 1941).

@annehersey9895 Late Polish president said back in 2008 standing in front of Tibilisi crowd "Today Georgia, Tomorrow UKraine", I did not like him but he was so damn right. He said it 15 years ago!

Germany started with 5000 helmets and If Ukraine failed in 3 days, Scholz could not care less.

@eddgar-ce3md Germans have no sense of guilt when it comes to Ukrainian victims of WWII because they are not aware of them being victims as well. Soviet victims were not only Russians and USSR was Hitler's ally till 1941 and invaded Poland 17 days after Hitler on 17th of setember 1939.

@J3diMindTrix Russians don't know any better. Russia is a threat to its neighbours not the opposite. Nobody was going to invade Russia. These are all Putn's excuses and paranoia. Putin wants Ukraine. His wet dream is to rebuild Russian empire back. All the rest is bs excuse. If Ukraine had been in Nato,war would have never happened. Putin wants Eastern Europe to be powerless. He thinks Russia is entitled to own Eastern Europe. It is not.

@annehersey9895 Putn wants to annex Ukraine and he knows he can invade and annex non Nato neighbours only. Russia still occupies 20% of Georgia. Russia loves invading and annexing just because it can and uses every stupid excuse possible to justify Putin's greed. Putin blames his victims for calling the police. Ukrainians are free people, Russia is not a special need baby and, as you said, nobody was going to invade Russia. Nato is bs excuse. It is not about Nato. It is about Putin's ego and his sick legacy. Putin says Ukraine is not a real country. He wants to annex it.Every dictator needs excuses. Nato is at Russia's borders for decades. Did Putin wake up last year?

@rogink Germany has learnt its lesson. Russia never learnts. Russia loves playing the victim card and never owns ut to its own guilt, crimes and failures. West has been treating Russia like a special need baby for way too long an it is also high time everybody stopped looking at Eastern Europe through Russia's eyes and agenda.

@lamwen03 Exactly. Germany's trade with Poland is bigger thn Germany's trade with Russia and hardy anyone knows it. If Ukraine faled in first 3 days, both Germany and France would go back to bussines as usual with Putin. Average French also can ot see much difference between Russia and Ukraine They consider Russia's Eastern European neghbours as "troublemakers' and Russia as a "a land of Tolstoy and ballet" It is easy to be naive if a country has no common border with Russia and no such experiences as Russia's neighbours.

It is Russia/USSR which created Putin, not the oposite. Russia is always the same.
