Russia has always been invading and annexing Eastern Europe just because it could. Nato is at Russia's borders for over 20 years. Poland borders Russia in Kaliningrd and joined Nato in 1999, Lithiania borders Russia and joined in 2004. Did Putin wake up yesterday? Why didn't he invade Finland which has the boggest land border with Russia? Because it was never about Nato at Russia's borders. It was about Putin's ego and his sick legacy. Eastern Europe is not soviet baclyard anymore and Putin blames Russia's past and current victims for their woll to be secured by Nato. Russia must stop playing the victim card and ask itself why so many former Warsaw pact members joined Nato as quickly as they could. Joining Nato is not made by force. Countires appy to join for a reason. Ukraine is not Russia's buffer zone or slave. Russia is not a super power. It is cheap gas station which can not stand it has nothing to say anymore. Eastern Europe moved on long time ago.
