@robertdavidson8028 Nato never signed any paper not to expand Nato east and bs small talk means nothing. Russia is not Eastern Europe's master. Get over it. Nato is an excuse for Putin, not a reason. Blaming former Warsaw pact countries for joining Nato is like blaming a victim for calling the police because she did not want to be hurt anymore.

And one more thing. Putin does not want Ukraine to exist as a separate and independent state. USA s a good neighbor. Russia is not. Mexico has no interest in being allied with Russia. USA does not want to make Mexico a part of USA. American president never said anything like "It is not a real country" unlike Putin and Ukraine's case. USA is Mexico's biggest trading partner. So your whatabotism is invalid here. Nato is an excuse. And Russia is not a super power. USSR is gone.

@robertdavidson8028 Russia is neither super power nor a special need country but keep living in your matrix if that makes you feel better. Why should we always care about Russia's sensitive feelings while Russia herself never cared for ours? Is Ukraine a Nato member? No. Did Putin invade anyway? He did. He wants Ukraine. Ukraine had no will to join before 2014 so Russia must look in the mirro. If Putin was so smart, he would not be stucked in Ukraine 3rd year in a row of his 3 days SMO.

@terryhand Nato expansion is an excuse for Putin. Ukraine had no chance to join Nato and If Russia was a good neighbor, there would be no need to join Nato. Eastern Europe owes Russia nothing

@pandora8377 Nato is at Russia's borders for decades. Poland joined in 1999. Finland has the biggest land border with Russia. Lithiania joined in 2004. Putin has always been obssesed with Ukraine. He wants Ukraine as a part of Russia. Nato is an excuse. If Russia does not like Nato at her borders Russia should stop giving her neighbors good reasons to join. Ukraine had no chance to join Nato. Putin invaded anyway. Just because he coould and wanted to. Putin knows he can not invade Nato members. USA is a super power. Russia is not. Not anymore. Eastern Europeans have their own security concerns because of Russia. Their agenda, freedom and rights matter more tha Putin's sick ideas
