They were right. Stop blaming Russia's past and present victims for calling the police because they did not want to be hurt by Russia anymore. Nato never invaded Russia and would never invade acountry with nukes. Russia has always been treating Eastern European countries as russian backyard even if Eastern Europeans themselves did not ask for it.

Poles heard "you are oversensitive" Politica leaders from UK, France and Germany fell in love with Putin. He did not drink vodka, he practiced judo. Crimes in Chechenya? They knew, they simply decided not to talk about it. Cheap russian gas was more important.

Joining Nato it's a choice, it's not made by force and it was not Russia to tell independent countries what they can or can not do. USSR is gone. Russia had nothing to say. Who does Russia think it is and why should we care? Joining Nato it's none of Russia's business. It's up to those countries who want to join.
