Ukrainians want to be free and independent. They are tired of being Russia's puppets. We are helping Ukraine to defend itself. It is so easy to give up somebody else's land and freedom, right?

Provoking by doing what? Heling Ukraine to defend itself? Securing its members instead of giving them up to Russia? Nato did not invade Russia. Russia did invade Ukraine.

@the1317 Nato is moving closer to Russia because Russia's neighbours asked to join Nato with their own free will. Why did they ask for Nato membership? Because they knew Russia, had no trust, they were right and joining Nato was the best thing they could have done for their countries to be secured. Stop blaming past and present Russia's victims for calling the police. If Russia was a good neighbour, there would be no need to join Nato. Nato is an excuse for Putin. He wants to annex Ukraine and he knew he could invade non Nato Ukraine only. Nato is at Russia borders for decades. Why didn't Putin invade Poland which borders Kaliningrand and joined Nato 25 years ago? Why didn't he invade Finland which has the biggest land border with Russia? Why didn't he care when former soviet republic of Lithuania joined Nato in 2004? Because it is not about Nato. It is about Ukraine. He wants Ukrajne Why should we always care about Russia's sensitive feelings and excuses while Russia tself never respected Eastern Europe's freedom? We owe Russia nothing.

@andrewwentzel You have no clue about Poland's history with Russia, don't you? If your country borders Russia, lack of Nato membership is an invitation for Russia to invade and annex your land. Poland has been there before. Never again. Eastern Europe is not russian backyard. We konw Russia better than you ever will!

@rapid9534 Poland has been warning for years that Putin would not stop. Germany did not want to listen. Invading Poland means WWIII.
