If Russia was a good neighboir all those former soviet satelite states and Warsaw pact choices would have no need to join Nato. Joining Nato it's a choice while being Russia's neighbour is not. People of Ukraine are free. They are not a buffer zone, ping pong ball or sphere of influence.

People of Ukraine have been going West with their own will for many years. Nobody forced them. They did not want to be Russia's slaves and did not want Putin's puppet in the office. They hate Russia for a reason just like many other countries which border Russia so Russia should stop playing angels and liberators and look in the mirror. Nato never attacked Russia. It's Putin's paranoia and excuse.
