  1.  @matlock8314  Most Russians don't have toilet at home. Russia is poor exept for Moscow and St Petersburg. Their resources? Less and less demand each year because the world is changing. More land does not mean more power these days but Putin seems not to undestand it.

  3.  @Bonehead.Boehly  He was lucky just becuase oil prices got higher. That's all. Putin has never been master mind in economy. He never cared for his people's standard of living. Russian science and medicine are poor.Average lenght of life in Russia is low. Go enywhere outside of Moscow and St Petersburg and you will see it with your own eyes.

It takes more than just a land and much more than just an army to win a war these days. How is Russia going to keep it in a long run? People of Ukraine did not welcome them in Donbas with a bunch of flowers

It's not what we call superpower in western standards. If they are fine not having toilet at home, it's their problem.
