@earthwizz Putin uses Nato expansion as an excuse. Ukraine is not in Nato and had no chance to join. Besides, If Russia was a good neighbour there would be no need to join Nato to be secured. Did you ask yourself why so amny former Warsaw act countrie do not want to have anything in common with Russia anymoe and joined Nato as uicly as they could? They hate Russia for a reason. Putin wants Ukraine and does not consider Ukraine as an independent state. The rest is an excuse. Nato is at Russia's borders for decades. Did Putin wake up yesterday? Why didn't he invade Finland which has the biggest land border with Russia? Because it was not about Nato expansion at all. It was about Putin's sick legacy and huge ego. Joining Nato is a choice, countries apply to join. Being Warsaw pact member was made by force and it was not something we asked for.
