  4.  @Beavereaver  Nato does not force any country to join. Being Warsaw pact member was made by force. Countries apply to join Nato with their own will. And it is none of Russia's decission. Russa does not own Ukraine.

  7.  @ponybgd  USSR was weak and about to fail so it had no ower to keep all those natios under its boot. Nato never promised Russia anything and we owe Russia nothing. Who does Russia think it is? Start respecting Eastern Europe's pact choices, agenda and right to decide because it is none of your decission.

Blamng countries for joining Nato is like blaming a victim for asking for help because she does not want to be hurt anymore. Nato is only another excuse for Russia. It is not a reason.

  14.  @eliotness4029  Warsaw pact was the only alliance to invade its own members when they tried to leave that "soviet paradise". We did not sk for 45 years of being on the wrong side of the Iro Courtain. We have been fighting for years to be free and out of soviet influence.

  25. Russia was supposed to respect Ukraine's independence and borders according to Budapest Memorandum signed by Russia in 1994. Guess what? Russia broke it. Russia has been making on and off mess in Ukraine on and off for about 20 years or more.

He calls Ukrainians "little Russians". Nato has nothing to do wth his mindset. Why didn't he want to invade Finland which has the biggest land border with Russia? Or Poland which also borders Russia and joined Nato 25 years ago? What about former soviet republic of Lithuania? He wants Ukraine. It is not about Nato. Putin needs excuses. Russia has never been a friendly neighbour, with or wthout Putin.
