@aleksandrs1422 Putin wants Ukraine. He could invade non Nato Ukraine only. Nato expansion is an excuse, not a reason for Russia. Ukraine had no chance to join Nato and Putin invaded anyway. It is not about Nato. It is about russian ego. Blaming countries for joining Nato is like blaming a victim for calling the police. Ukraine had no will to join Nato before 2014 so Russia should look in the mirror. If Russia does not like Nato at her borders, Russia should stop giving her neighbors good reasons to join Nato. 100 years of not making mess in the neighborhood would be enough to get our trust back but I am sure Russia is not able to be a peaceful nieghbor for more than 10 years in a row.
