  6. @MIAKRI Joining Nato and EU was a choice. Being Warsaw pact member was not. Russia still occupies 20% of Georgia and is making mess in a part of Moldova.

Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus were small pieces of a country called USSR. These were soviet republics. Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Chechoslovakia and East Germany were soviet satelite states. They were puppets of Moscow but had their own countries, flags, national antherms, borders and political leaders. They were forced to live under USSR commands, had nothing or very little to say but they were not a part of a country called USSR. Yugoslavia s a different story. During Cold War Era Yugoslavia was always seen as the most free.

If Baltic Stattes had not been in Nato, Putin would have invaded them. Russia loves invading and annexing its smaller neighbours just because it can. Russia still occupies 20% of Georgia. Nato is at Russia's borders for decades and never iinvaded Russia.

  46.  @krollpeter  It took a lot of money for german leaders to fall in love ith Russia while French love Russia for free. It is easy to be naive if a country has no common border with Russia. If Ukraine failed in first 3 days of war both Scholz and Macron could not care less. They would go back to bussines as usual with Putin. Many French can not see much difference between Ukraine and Russia. All they care about is their morning coffee and early retirement.

Historically spreacing 22 000 Polish people were killed in Katyn forest in 1940 thanks to Stalin's orders. Russia loves taking all USSR glory as long as it suits Russia. Many western Europeans have no clue about USRR/Russia dark sides. What Putin does is no suprise for Russia's neighbpurs. They have been warning. They knew Putin would not stop. Western Europeans, mainly French, love seeing Russia as a land of ballet and Tolstoy and considering Russia's neighbours as "troublemakers" who are "oversensuitive". Yeah, right...
