@Chiusoxferie Not "24 million Russians". They were soviet victims, many of them were Ukrainians. You keep forgetting about it.

@riparianlife97701 If Chamberlain was not naive back in 1938 (Czechoslovakia) they would be no 1939 Poland

@Anthony M For many oles Soviets were even worse than nazis. Russia keep talking about "liberation". Eastern Euroean countries call it "5 years of slavery". Western Europe was free, Eastern Europe was not and what's more they feel they were sold out to Stalin in Yalta by Churchill and FDR.

@mkodyglobalsouthsoldier Right. What is more many former soviet satelite countries that joined EU keep improving their standard of living and they are not that poor anymore. Slovenia, Estonia, are doing great, Poland is a role model country for many Ukrainians.
7
@appa609 False. My country Poland had growth in early 90's. Early 2000 was bad and in 2004 Poland joined EU. It's one of the biggest achievements in Polish history. Poland is a role model country for Ukrainians.

@riparianlife97701 There is a parallel between Poles and Ukrainians. Poles know that it's like to be attacked by a sick man who claim "you are not a nation, you are not humen". There was a huge Ukrainian community living in Poland before this war. We speak similar language, we work together, we study together, there are POlish-ukrainina couples, every Pole knows some Ukrainian we have been living side by side for many years, at one point in history we shared the same State.

@appa609 Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic are Nato member states since march 1999, Putin was not even in power back then, they joined EU in 2004, They were not "under Putin". What are you talking about. They chose their own way in 1989. Poland was first post communist country to have frre election, it was in june 1989 while The fall of Berlin war was in November 1989. Putin was "never heard of him" man in 1989. Go back to school and take more history lessons before you write another stupid post.

Putin can't beat Ukraine.

Exactly. It makes me sick so many Western countries think it's just some "regional conflict". It' not. It's very serious. Hitler did not stop in Czechoslovakia because West was weak and Chamberlain thought "Let's give Hitler what he wants and he will calm down" Dictators never stop. If you show them you are weak they want more. Many Western Europeans can't even put Ukraine on the map and care about low energy bills only. Pretending being blind will not help them in a lon run.

@Anthony M If Russia was a good neighbour countries like Poland would have no need to join Nato. USSR attacked Poland on 17th of September 13, Soviets committed geocine of Polish officers in Katyn Forest and today Russia still pretends "It was not us". Lies and agression it's their legacy.
1
@Chiusoxferie They were no angels in all of this. Katyn geocine of Polish people, attack from east on Poland 17th of September 1939 and 50 years of communist regime gifted to nations of Eastern Europe. Still they love claiming they "liberated Europe". Well, Eastern Europe were their slave for another 50 years despite the the fact that they did not ask for it
1
@pdoylemi Even if... Did it make Eastern European countries fate any better for another 50 years? Poland was a strong ally and it's not the way you should thank or treat you ally.
1
@pdoylemi He did not, that's for sure and my country knows something about it.
1
@pdoylemi Every Pole claims it was, believe me.

@appa609 One more thing. Ukraine itself is an independent State since 1991, the same for Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, USSR was gone and those three Batlic States joined EU in 2004. They are Nato members now too. Putin was mister Nobody in the early 90's as well. He was Nobody even for many Russian citizents untill late 90's when he became prime minister and then acting president of State.Claming they were "under Putin" is an insult for them. Don't be ignorant next time.

@NMW80 He is afraid of covid, he is paranoid so is is afraid to die.
