  1. I couldn't get over how the mother just stood at the door as the psycho woman walked in a crazy manner back towards the kid. I can however understand why people can be frustrated and annoyed by kids carelessly riding past pedestrians (particularly elderly); they can be quite hazardous. It may help to have a bell on the bicycle to alert people to their presence if they have to ride on the footpath (sidewalk). Nice houses. Just don't get me started on skateboards; I hate those things.

  2. No information on the cause. I was an FAI qualified parachute (skydive) instructor back in the 70's. In those days there was no 'tandem' jumps available for non-jumpers. Students were progressively trained through stages and accepted any risk based on their own confidence (and instructor indorsement) in being able to carry out some fairly straightforward procedures.
