I asked a nurse if they ever 'aspirated' the syringe to avoid intravenous injection. She didn't know what I was talking about. I knew the answer to the question was "No" anyway, but I was just interested in her response. No criticism of the nurse or any intention to make her feel uncomfortable, but I thought she may relay the question to the doctor. Now I think about it, I should have asked him.
