African countries, along with the Middle East and many South East Asian countries, seem incapable of maintaining a modern, advanced society. Unfortunately, with Australia's immigration policy being what it is, we're heading on the same trajectory.

@yourfriendlyneighbourhoods8202 I grew up in England in the fifties and sixties and came to Sydney in 1970 and worked for AGL for ten years. When I look at the changes and synergies between the two, I can't see much cause for optimism. I live in Queensland now but visited Sydney last year. Walking around Circular Quay was like being in a foreign country. Multiculturalism can work to a degree for decades but eventually ends in tears. My sister lives there, and the adjacent suburb is basically 'no go' for non-Muslims (particularly women). Other suburbs dominated by people of one foreign country or another. If anyone thinks that's a good thing, then I don't know what to tell them.
