  1. I live in Australia and as I flicked through the channels searching for that elusive channel of worth, I stumbled upon the opening credits of Coronation Street. I don't actually watch the program and in fact didn't realise it was being televised here. I haven't seen it since I visited my mother in the UK in 2004. I paused for a moment in a moment of nostalgia and remembered the very first episode when I was ten years old. The first three characters who appeared on the screen were all black!
