  1. I think that when they make it a notable event that a black person can do what white people can do (which, all things being equal is everything), it does a disservice to them. It's virtually implying that black people don't do it very well, but it's amazing how they do it at all. Fortunately most kids don't pay much attention to what's in museums anyway. They'll generally only go there on a school excursion and are just happy about not being in a classroom.
