My social circles have diminished since I've been retired, and it's not a subject which has raised it's head amongst my friends or associates but I could guarantee that none of the past or present consider gender as being anything but the simple one or another. Of course that doesn't mean there's no recognition of those who find the gender they're born with, an ill fitting garment and wish to adopt one that suits; but still, only two basic models.
