I've noticed in Australia teenagers like to adopt an 'ethnic' way of speaking that seems to suggest they've just got off the boat from Athens. Some may have inherited the accent from their parents at a very young age. I can remember going to a house where a young lady who had emigrated from Liverpool and who's little boy of about three or four had a distinct 'Liverpudlian' accent.
