  1. Ordinarily, I wouldn't have a particular problem with that. In fact I quite often hear those from other countries speaking English better than many English people. Some of the various county accents combined with the lazy speech and speech disfluency is a national embarrassment. It is however, concerning that Britain is allowing the 'box tickers' to change the face of the country by deliberately elevating the profile of minority groups to satisfy the 'woke' generation. Interestingly, I'm a British national living in Australia and I'm not allowed to be employed in a border security role or hold political office. If the guy was only nine when he arrived, he would no doubt be well entrenched into British society and may have even spoken some English before he arrived. As far as his parents are concerned, they may have been legitimate economic refugees; fleeing in anticipation of losing accumulated wealth.
