  1. A few years ago I was on a tourist excursion from Hong Kong to the main part of China. The public toilets were just a hole in the floor where you were expected to squat (with no support), line up your Norden bombsight, somehow avoid dumping in your trousers and hope everything was on target!

  2.  @Robbie939  They seemed to have improved things a bit in places like Hong Kong and Singapore; particularly in public place like airports. On a trip from Australia to the UK back in 2007 (as I remember), HK airport still had 'hole in the floor' toilets.
