This concept of people being 'colour blind' is crap. Of course, at least initially, you have a reaction to anyone who is notably different. If I walked into a room full of black people they would react the same. I view people with heavy tattoos as being of a different mind to me. Doesn't mean I don't accept them, like them or treat them differently other than the normal reasons why you may like or dislike someone.
