  1. I live in Australia and I happened to read the recruiting policy of our national airline. It outlined inclusion, diversity and 'reconciliation' (for indigenous people). It also made reference to abandoning (or word to that effect) the "stereotypical" images of the past. I assumed it meant the mature, white, experienced, highly skilled, pilots from predominantly European heritage who have contributed to the enviable safety record making the airline one of the most respected in civil aviation.
