As I recall, during the last election campaign, finally getting out of the EU was a significant selling point for the Conservative Part whilst the opposition seemed to be undecided on the whole thing. In all that, apart from the money savings and more control over Britain's sovereignty the other benefit was to have more control on immigration. In theory, people like Angela Merkel can no longer welcome a whole pile of immigrants into their country then give them directions to Dover. Ministers who make these trade deals should be monitored as to exactly what their up to after they've had a few drinkypoos.
