  1. I'm not religious in any way whatsoever. Christianity has, in the past been just as cruel and oppressive as any other. However, in many secular countries the power of the churches has been moderated by democratic parliamentary laws. Islamists would have that changed to sectarian laws with our daily lives ruled by the dogma of the religion. Big mistake to underestimate that. May be appropriate to remind Christians that we haven't forgotten them either; particularly in the influence of the catholic church in poorer countries.
