I certainly don't subscribe to much of the new age bull shit which suggests that unless you're promoting some identity other than what we would consider 'normal' you're not really "with it", but the empirical evidence would suggest that Christian marriages are a bit of a failure. My parents were married in a church but never saw the inside of one again for anything other than architectural curiosity. I've had a DeFacto marriage for nearly fifty years. Out of my five children, only one got blessed by Jesus and his marriage failed after the reception!
