I tend to be very critical and judgmental of smokers in the same way as I view a drug addict which regular smokers actually are. Watching people who can't function for more than a matter of minutes without searching for a cigarette or going into meltdown if they run out; or their lighter doesn't work is quite pathetic. It is just beyond my comprehension why anyone would take up the habit; particularly these days when the health issues are so well documented. Having said that, I don't recollect being particularly bothered by people smoking in the pub when it was allowed.
