  1. "Diplomatic sensibilities" Yes, we have to be very careful about using names which resonate with our military history. We certainly don't want to upset the French navy who assist with Britain's shortage of illegal immigrants. Perish thought that the 90% of the French male population who probably have never heard of the engagement at Agincourt 600 years ago will hold their manhood's cheap while any speaks who fought with us upon St. Crispin's Day. I've always been a fairly solid monarchist, but I think his majesty is ensuring his successor will not be his heir.

  2. @Bob-us9di  Yes, the new name does conform to tradition in that respect, although I tend to associate 'Achilles' with vulnerability rather than victory, and as told in Greek mythology, it was 'Paris' that killed the poor fellow. That should resonate with the French.
