I'd take a guess and say that a significant majority of Americans do not feel any threat from Russia (or China for that matter), do not have any great affinity with Ukraine and would be fairly agnostic as far as ongoing support. If the US 'pull the plug', it seems unlikely Ukraine can continue the fight. Probably best to find a resolution now, I'd say. What's the estimated time for total destruction of the planet? I seem to recall 67 minutes just about does it.
