I'm not sure what qualifies you to make an assessment of the military strategies and status of this particular conflict, but I listen to others with extensive military experience and access to up to date information who paint quite a different picture. Using anecdotal evidence highlighting various incidences isn't really that convincing. I would find it surprising that similar 'blue on blue' incidents didn't occur with Ukrainian forces, too.

@call_in_sick I used "qualified" in the broad sense in having legitimate sources of information and terms of reference. Personally, I'd be cautious in relying on mainstream news. Expressing an "opinion" on the overall status in the absence of undisputed facts is not a particularly bright idea.

@VicfromOregon If you're right, Russian soldiers will give up before Christmas. If not, Uncle Steir will be happy to keep it going for another 100 years.
